Project UDita by AVAS and  Mphasis F1 Foundation with Ethos as the Knowledge Partner. The Indian Institute of Architects has also supported this project with Samarthyam; Vidya Sagar; School of Planning and Architecture, Bhopal; Bharatiya Vidyapeeth, College of Architecture, Pune; and “Wheeling Happiness” as advisers.

The consultancy engagement involves the content curation and development of the following:   

                         

  • Self-paced learning course titled “Universal Design for the Built Environment: Beyond Ramps and Railings”. The course includes expert-led content, interactive videos, and real-world examples that simplify Universal Design Principles and Practices. It focuses on sensitizing individuals about persons with disabilities, providing insights into understanding diverse user needs, the built environment, various typologies requiring different solutions, as well as architectural details, drawings, and measurements for universal design in the Indian context. This course follows a basic and detailed curriculum for learning universal design and barrier-free architecture. Ideal for students, teachers, architects, and professionals in the ACED (Architecture, Construction, Engineering, and Design) community.
